I completed an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Living Course with Elspeth at the end of 2019. It was a great introduction to mindfulness and I looked forward to a few hours of time to spend on myself me each week. Elspeth is lovely and so supportive. The sessions were a comfortable space to learn about and practice mindfulness.
I’ve been attending her Monday lunchtime sessions regularly since then. They were a lifeline during lockdown and now an opportunity to pause at the start of a busy week. I really appreciate the chance to stop, take a breath and reset for the rest of the day. Elspeth puts so much thought into the sessions, introducing us to a new concept or approach each week. There is often a reading or a poem that links to the theme for the week, which she sends out following the session, so I can revisit at a later date. The online format works really well for me as I can slot the session into my day, whatever I’m doing, or wherever I am.

I did a 6 week ACT course with Elspeth and she was fantastic at explaining the theory and teaching us the strategies for our toolkit. She created a warm, inviting, safe, encouraging space to work with others. Using the habits we learned in my daily practice now. I would highly recommend Pause to Be.
I organised two weeks of mindfulness and yoga through Pause to Be for my daughter as part of a life skills project and it was really, really good. I joined in some of them myself and loved it and my daughter really enjoyed the sessions too. I highly recommend.
I have had the pleasure of being part of the Pause to Be community for the past three years. The meditations and workshops Elspeth so thoroughly and thoughtfully prepares, as well as the ACT workshops, are a very important part of my life. Elspeth teaches a lot of very applicable and useful techniques and provides a haven of peace and calm with her meditations. I always learn something new about myself and life and benefit greatly from the Monday sessions.
I did a six week ACT course with Elspeth and it was brilliant. The way she explains the theory and helps with practical tips really makes it easy to adapt into daily living. I certainly have found myself returning to it when dealing with challenges as well as trying to incorporate the ethos of ACT into my life.
I immediately felt the benefits of the mindfulness session. I came away with simple meditation exercises I can put in to daily practice. I really enjoyed the nature walk and switching off and appreciating everything around me. Thank you Elspeth, it was a wonderful, relaxing session.
Elspeth ran an “introduction to mindfulness” hour to our colleagues on World Mental Health Day.
